what is the BUMI?
The BUMI is Shibumi's signature menu item. It's a crispy, flavourful ball that is inspired by both local and international cuisines. So far we've offered BUMIS in the following flavours:
What is it made from?
The BUMI is made from a special mix of legumes, vegetables, grains and seasonings. Everything made from scratch.
IS IT VEGAN?
Yes, the BUMI, and everything else on the menu, is 100% plant-based and diary-free. But, we don't like to focus on labels. Instead, we focus on flavours that anyone, vegan or not, can enjoy. In fact, over 80% of our customers are not vegetarian or vegan.
IS IT GLUTEN-FREE?
Only one part of the BUMI that is not gluten-free: the outer breadcrumb crust. However, we prepare our own gluten-free chickpea breadcrumbs for those intolerant to gluten. Gluten-free BUMIS are very rarely requested, and so are not readily available. Let us know at least 2 days before deliveries if you would like to order.
Note: For lunches, not all our sides are gluten-free, but we try to offer gluten free sides occasionally.
HOW CAN I ORDER?
BUMIS can be purchased with our lunches, served alongside exciting sides.
BUMIS can be purchased in bulk, with our homemade sauces and condiments.
